Take a trip to the stunning county of Royal Deeside, and you will find the very charming Boat Inn standing on the banks of the river Dee in Aboyne. Charismatic with an old worldly charm, The Boat Inn has a mouth-watering menu of exciting dishes, all prepared from the finest Scottish ingredients.
Be tempted by the lovely lunch menu, which includes Soup served with wholegrain bread, Prawn Cocktail, and a Farmhouse style Chicken Liver Pate served with Scottish oatcakes. Follow this with a choice of main dishes with a distinctly Scots flavour, such as, Homemade Beefsteak Pie, Mince tatties and skirlie, and a fantastic Aberdeen Angus Burger with all the trimmings.
All the meat supplied to The Boat Inn comes from Her Majesty the Queens supplier to Balmoral Castle: You'll find no finer!
Exquisite evening menus are changed every 2 months to coincide with the seasons. All ingredients are locally sourced and then prepared on the premises to create exciting new dishes.
All the superb dishes at The Boat Inn can be complimented with exquisite wines from the local wine merchant who also supplies Her Majesty the Queen at Balmoral Castle: That's as good a recommendation as you could ever want!
The atmosphere is relaxed and convivial, and the staff exceedingly helpful and cheery. Children are easily accommodated with a special menu, and high chairs.
Naturally the accommodation, like the cuisine, is delightful. So you can enjoy a gorgeous meal, then stay the night in great comfort. The newly refurbished rooms are all en-suite and have all the little luxuries you would expect from such a well-appointed experience.
The marvellous reputation of The Boat Inn can be seen in The Good Pub Guide, The Good Beer Guide, The Best Tastes of Scotland, and Which Pub Guide.
